            The Committee on Education moved to amend the bill on page thirty-eight, section one-c, lines one through three, by striking out all of subsection (a) and inserting in lieu thereof a new subsection, designated subsection (a), to read as follows:

            (a) Alternative program instruction. -- An alternative program for classroom teachers shall provide, at a minimum, either six credit hours or six staff development hours of instruction in one or more of the following subjects:.
